If you no longer have access to your Digital Surge two-factor authentication (2FA) code and you do not have your recovery key to restore your 2FA. Follow the steps below to securely disable the 2FA on your account.
You will need access to the email address and mobile number linked to your Digital Surge account. If you do not have access to these, please contact our support team for assistance.
Forget your authentication code?
Once you have entered your email & password, you will be taken to the verification code screen. On this screen, select 'Forgot your authenticator code?'
If you have your recovery key, follow the instructions on screen to successfully restore your 2FA code. If you do not have your recovery key, select 'Disable 2FA'.
Verify your email
Select send code to be sent a 6-digit code to the email address linked to your Digital Surge account. Open the email sent and enter the 6-digit code provided.
Verify your mobile
Select send SMS code to be sent a 6-digit code to the mobile number linked to your Digital Surge account. Open the SMS sent and enter the 6-digit code provided.
Two-factor authentication disabled
Once you have verified your email address and mobile number, you will get a confirmation screen to advise your two-factor authentication has been disabled. On this screen, select back to login to return to the log in page. You will now be able to log in with your email and password.
You can set up 2FA again from the Profile page of your account.
NOTE: If you have crypto sends enabled on your account, this feature will be removed if 2FA is disabled. You are able to enable 2FA and make a new request to enable crypto sends from the Profile page of your account
