Scammers sometimes attempt to impersonate Digital Surge to obtain personal information. Below are the common warning signs and the steps you should take if you receive something that does not look genuine.

Common red flags to watch for

Be cautious if you receive any email, message or phone call that includes:

Urgent or threatening language

For example, “Your account will be locked in 10 minutes if you don’t respond.”

Requests for passwords, 2FA codes or personal information

Digital Surge will never ask you for these details.

Unexpected links or attachments

Be especially careful with anything asking you to log in or download files.

Misspellings, poor grammar or unusual formatting

These can indicate an impersonation attempt.

Unusual sender details

Check that the email is from an official Digital Surge domain such as @digitalsurge.com.au.

Calls or messages claiming to be support but asking for private information

Digital Surge may contact you by phone for verification purposes, but we will not request your login details or 2FA codes.

If contacted, you can ask the team member to verify their identity. Confirm this by starting a live chat within the app or by emailing contact@digitalsurge.com.au.

What to do if you receive something suspicious

  • Do not click links or provide personal information.

  • Take a screenshot or note the message details.

  • Report it to us immediately by emailing contact@digitalsurge.com.au or by speaking with us via live chat (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm AEST).
