How to update your legal name on your Digital Surge account and what documents you need to provide.

If your legal name has recently changed, we can help update your Digital Surge account to ensure your details remain accurate and compliant. To process your request, we need a small amount of documentation that confirms your new legal name.


What you need to provide

To request a name change, please supply the following two items.

1. Official name change document

You must provide one of the following documents that confirms your legal name update.

  • Marriage certificate

  • Divorce certificate

  • Government-issued name change certificate or other official name change document

2. Valid photo ID showing your new name

Please upload a clear image of one of the following IDs that shows your updated legal name.

  • Driver’s licence (front and back)

  • Passport

Make sure the images are clear, in colour, and all details are readable so our team can verify your information without delays.


Corporate Account Name Changes

If your request relates to a corporate account, we may need updated documentation for the entity before we can complete the name change. This may include a new company extract, updated Trust Deed, or any other documents that reflect the name change for the entity.
