The minimum age to create a Digital Surge account is 16 years old.
To create an account, you must complete a full identity check using one of the accepted ID types below.
1. Australian or New Zealand Driver Licence
All Australian and New Zealand driver licences are accepted, including learner permits and probationary licences.
Disqualified or suspended licences can be used, provided they remain active.
2. Australian or New Zealand Passport
Valid Australian and New Zealand passports are accepted.
The passport must not be expired.
3. Australian Photo ID with a Valid Medicare Card
You can verify your account using a combination of an Australian photo ID and a valid Medicare card.
Important:
Proof of Age cards and Photo Cards cannot be accepted. These documents cannot be verified via the Document Verification Service (DVS) and therefore cannot be used for account verification or to enable crypto sends.
4. International Passport with a Valid Australian Visa
Expired international passports are accepted if the attached Australian visa is valid.
Verification is based on your visa details, not the passport.
Ensure your name is entered exactly as it appears on your Visa Grant Notice.
Account Restrictions for Users Under 18
If you are under 18 years old, your account will have restrictions that prevent external cryptocurrency sends. You can apply to enable crypto sends once you turn 18.
