Important Note
Sending crypto to external wallets carries risks, including permanent loss of funds if the transaction is completed incorrectly.
Please also be cautious of fraudulent platforms or scams. You can review our list of common scams for more information.
Steps to Enable External Crypto Sends
Step 1: Navigate to Your Profile
From your dashboard, select the three horizontal lines in the top right corner to open the menu and select Profile.
Step 2: Access Security and Limits
Scroll down to the Security and Limits section.
Locate External Crypto Send and toggle the switch to begin the setup process.
Step 3: Informed Consent
During verification, you will see an informed consent message explaining that Digital Surge will check your details with official records to confirm your identity.
After reading the message, tick the box to confirm your consent then select Next to continue.
Step 4: Review the Warnings
Carefully read the warnings about the risks associated with sending crypto externally.
If you agree to the terms, tick the confirmation box and select Next.
You will then be shown additional information reminding you to be aware of scams.
After reviewing this information, select Start to proceed with the following steps.
Step 5: Prepare Necessary Documents
You will need to upload the following items.
Photo ID
Accepted forms include a valid driver’s licence or passport. Physical IDs only.
Screenshots or digital IDs cannot be accepted.
Proof of Age cards and Photo Cards are not accepted for this process.
Selfie Verification
Take a photo of yourself holding a handwritten note that includes:
The words 'Digital Surge'
Today’s date
Tips for your selfie:
Ensure your hand and arm are visible holding the note.
Use a smaller piece of paper or hold the camera further away for clearer framing.
Step 6: Upload Your Documents
Upload your driver’s licence or passport in the designated field.
Upload your selfie verification in the corresponding field.
Once both documents have been uploaded, select Activate Now to submit your application.
What Happens Next?
Your application will be reviewed within five business days.
You may be contacted during the review for security purposes.
Once approved, you will be able to send crypto externally from your Digital Surge account.
