To help keep your Digital Surge account secure, we send a security alert whenever a login is detected from an IP address that has not been used on your account before. This helps you stay informed and quickly identify any activity that may not be authorised.

What the security alert includes

You will receive an email with the subject line: Security Alert: New Login Detected.
The email will contain:

  • The IP address used for the login

  • The time and date of the login

  • A secure link to lock your account if the login was not authorised

What to do when you receive an alert

If the login was you

No action is required. The alert is simply for your awareness.

If the login was not you or appears suspicious

Select the Lock My Account link in the email. This will immediately freeze your account and prevent any further transactions while the issue is investigated.

Why you may receive an alert without changing devices or locations

Some internet service providers use dynamic IP addresses. This means your IP address can change automatically even when you are using the same device on the same network. A change like this can trigger a new login alert, even though the login was legitimate.

In these cases, there is no need for concern.
