Doing your crypto taxes doesn’t need to be complicated. CoinLedger automates much of the process so you can focus on what matters. It is an easy-to-use crypto tax calculator that helps you generate tax reports and track your portfolio with confidence.
You can connect your Digital Surge account to CoinLedger for portfolio tracking and tax reporting. The easiest method is through the API integration. If you prefer, you can also upload your transaction history by exporting it as a CSV file.
Connect Digital Surge to CoinLedger using an API
Step 1: Log in to CoinLedger
Go to coinledger.io and log in or create an account.
Step 2: Connect Digital Surge to your CoinLedger account
If you are setting up CoinLedger for the first time, you will be prompted to select a platform. Search for Digital Surge and select it.
If your CoinLedger account is already set up, go to the Import page and select Add an account. Search for Digital Surge and select it from the list.
Step 3: Create an API key in your Digital Surge account
You'll now need to create an API key on your Digital Surge account by heading over to the API Key page from your Digital Surge account.
Open the drop down menu and select API key
Select Create a New API key
Choose between Read/Write and Read Only keys. If you are unsure which to use, we recommend selecting Read Only
Enter your Two Factor Authentication or SMS code when prompted
Your API key will appear so you can copy it into CoinLedger
Step 4: Import your transactions into CoinLedger
Return to your CoinLedger account and select Auto Import.
Step 5: Paste your API key
Paste your full API key into the required field, then select Sync Transactions.
Your Digital Surge trading activity will now automatically sync with CoinLedger.
Import data using a CSV export
You can also import your transactions by uploading a CSV file to your CoinLedger account.
Step 1: Export your Transaction History from Digital Surge
Retrieve your Transaction History as a CSV file by clicking the drop-down menu and selecting Transaction History.
Go to the drop down menu and select Transaction History.
Select Export History, then Transaction History
Choose your date range and CSV file format, then export the file
You can leave the date range empty to retrieve all transactions
Step 2: Add your Digital Surge account in CoinLedger
Go to the Import page and select Add Account. Search for Digital Surge and select it.
Step 3: Choose the file upload option
Instead of selecting Auto Import, choose Browse File.
Step 4: Upload your CSV
Upload the Transaction History CSV file you downloaded from Digital Surge.
Your wallet and transactions will now appear in CoinLedger. Keep in mind that you will need to upload a new CSV file whenever you want to update your CoinLedger account with new transactions.
