A Recurring Buy allows you to automatically purchase a set amount of any cryptocurrency on a schedule you choose. It’s a simple way to automate your investing and take advantage of dollar cost averaging.
Important information before you start
To ensure your recurring buy processes successfully:
You must have enough available AUD in your Digital Surge account
Digital Surge cannot debit your bank account directly
If you want your balance topped up automatically, you can set up a recurring deposit from your bank using your Digital Surge BSB and Account Number
Deposits should be scheduled 24 to 48 hours before your recurring buy to ensure funds arrive in time
How to set up a recurring buy
Step 1: Open the Recurring Buy page
From the drop down menu, select Recurring Buy
Step 2: Create a new recurring buy
Select Create new recurring buy.
Step 3: Configure your recurring buy
Choose your preferred settings:
Select the cryptocurrency you want to buy
Enter the AUD amount you want to invest each time
Choose the start date for the first buy
Select the time of day for execution
Set your chosen frequency, such as daily, weekly or monthly
When you're ready, select Create.
Step 4: Review your recurring buy
After creation, your recurring buy will appear on the Recurring Buy page with all your selected details.
How to edit or delete a recurring buy
Step 1: Access your recurring buy settings
Go to the Recurring Buy page.
You can:
Use the On/Off toggle to pause a recurring buy
Select Edit to make changes
Step 2: Edit your recurring buy
Adjust the details as needed using the same fields from Step 3 above.
Important:
If you change the start date to a time earlier than when the order would normally trigger, the buy may not run as expected. To avoid issues, delete the existing recurring buy and create a new one with your updated schedule.
Step 3: Delete a recurring buy
Select the Delete icon next to the recurring buy you want to remove.
Confirm the deletion to finalise the process.
