Summ makes crypto tax reporting easier by automating the calculation of your gains, losses and taxable income. You can connect your Digital Surge account to Summ either through an API integration or by uploading a CSV file of your transaction history.

Connect Digital Surge to Summ using an API

Step 1: Log in to Summ

Go to Summ and log in or create an account.

Step 2: Add your Digital Surge account

Go to the Accounts page, select Add Account, then search for Digital Surge and select it.

Step 3: Create an API key in your Digital Surge account

You can create an API key by heading over to the API key page from your Digital Surge account.

  1. Open the drop down menu and select API Key

  2. Select Create a New API Key

  3. Choose either Read/Write or Read Only (we recommend Read Only for most integrations)

  4. Complete your Two Factor Authentication or SMS verification

  5. Copy the API key displayed on screen

Step 4: Enter your API key into Summ

Paste your API key into the Secret field on Summ and select Secure Connect.

Note: Syncing may take a few minutes.

Your Digital Surge activity will now automatically sync with your Summ account.

Importing data using CSV export

If you prefer a manual upload, you can import your Digital Surge transactions using a CSV file.

Step 1: Export your Transaction History from Digital Surge

Retrieve your Transaction History and export from Digital Surge:

  1. Open the drop down menu and select Transaction History

  2. Select Export History, then Transaction History

  3. Choose your date range and CSV file format

  4. Leave the date range empty to export all transactions

Step 2: Add the CSV file in Summ

Go to Integrations, then select Add Integrations.
Search for Digital Surge and select it.

Step 3: Upload your CSV file

Switch from Sync via API to Upload File, then upload your CSV and choose Import Digital Surge CSV.

Your wallet and transactions will now appear in your Summ account.

Remember: you will need to upload new CSV files to update Summ with any future transactions.
