If you are new to crypto transfers, the process can feel complex, but following the steps below will help you complete your transaction safely and confidently.
Things to Consider Before Sending Crypto
Accuracy is essential
Ensure all details are correct, including the wallet address, memo or tag, and network. Incorrect information can result in permanent loss of funds.
Beware of scams
Only send crypto to trusted wallets or platforms. Stay alert for fraudulent websites or individuals. You can refer to our list of common scams for more information.
Network compatibility
Make sure the receiving wallet supports the same network you select for the withdrawal.
Steps to Send Crypto
Step 1. Go to your Wallet page
From your dashboard, open the Wallet page.
Step 2. Select Send
Hover over the Trade button next to the cryptocurrency you would like to send and choose Send.
Step 3. Enter the transaction details
A pop-up will appear requesting the following information.
Sending network
Check that the selected network matches the network the receiving wallet supports. For example, POL must be sent on the Polygon network.
Address field
Copy and paste the destination wallet address into the address field. Avoid typing it manually.
Memo or tag
If the wallet requires a memo or tag, enter it exactly as provided. Leave this field blank if it is not required.
Amount
Choose the amount you want to send by selecting a percentage option, entering the crypto amount, or using the AUD equivalent.
After completing all fields, tick the confirmation box and select Send.
Step 4. Review the transaction
A confirmation page will appear. Carefully review all details to ensure accuracy. Tick the confirmation box and click Next to proceed.
Step 5. Enter your Two Factor Authentication (2FA) code
Enter the 2FA code from your authenticator app to verify the transaction.
Step 6. Confirm first time transactions via email
If you are sending crypto to this wallet address for the first time, you will receive a confirmation email. Open the email and click the link to finalise the transaction.
What Happens Next?
All crypto sends are processed automatically. Once your transaction has been broadcast to the blockchain, you will receive a confirmation email that includes the Transaction ID (TXID). You can use the TXID to track your transaction on the blockchain.
Important Notes
Network match
Only send crypto on the network supported by the receiving wallet. For example, send ETH on the Ethereum network only.
Copy and paste details
Always copy and paste wallet addresses or use QR codes to avoid mistakes.
Memos and tags
If required, memos or tags must be included for the transaction to complete successfully.
Failure to follow the above guidance may result in permanent loss of funds.
