Ready to send crypto? This guide covers everything you need to send crypto from your Digital Surge account to an external wallet safely.
Follow the steps below, and you'll be on your way in minutes.
Things to Consider Before Sending Crypto
Accuracy is essential
Ensure all details are correct, including the wallet address, memo or tag, and network. Incorrect information can result in permanent loss of funds.
Beware of scams
Only send crypto to trusted wallets or platforms. Stay alert for fraudulent websites or individuals. You can refer to our list of common scams for more information.
Network compatibility
Make sure the receiving wallet supports the same network you select for the withdrawal.
Steps to Send Crypto
Step 1. Go to your Wallet page
From your dashboard, open the Wallet page.
Step 2. Select Send
Hover over the Trade button next to the cryptocurrency you would like to send and choose Send.
Step 3. Select your address from the Address Book
A pop-up will appear. Click the Address Book icon next to the wallet address field to view your saved addresses.
If the address is already saved, select it from the list and continue to Step 4.
If this is a new address, select Add new address, enter the wallet address, add a label, and complete the short address confirmation form. You will then receive a confirmation email — click the link to activate the address before proceeding.
→ For more details, see our Address Book guide.
Step 4. Enter the transaction details
Once your address is selected, confirm the remaining details:
Sending network — Check that the selected network matches the network the receiving wallet supports. For example, POL must be sent on the Polygon network.
Memo or tag — If required, enter it exactly as provided. Leave blank if not needed.
Amount — Choose the amount by selecting a percentage option, entering the crypto amount, or using the AUD equivalent.
After completing all fields, tick the confirmation box and select Send.
Step 5. Review the transaction
A confirmation page will appear. Carefully review all details to ensure accuracy. Tick the confirmation box and click Next to proceed.
Step 6. Enter your Two Factor Authentication (2FA) code
Enter the 2FA code from your authenticator app to verify the transaction.
Step 7. Confirm first-time sends via email
If this is the first time you are sending to this address, you will receive a confirmation email. Open the email and click the link to finalise the transaction.
What Happens Next?
All crypto sends are processed automatically. Once your transaction has been broadcast to the blockchain, you will receive a confirmation email that includes the Transaction ID (TXID). You can use the TXID to track your transaction on the blockchain.
Important Notes
Address Book required - All crypto sends require the destination address to be saved in your Address Book. New addresses must be confirmed via email before they can be used.
First send to a new address - The first withdrawal to any address also requires email confirmation to finalise the transaction.
Network match - Only send crypto on the network supported by the receiving wallet. For example, send ETH on the Ethereum network only.
Copy and paste details - Always copy and paste wallet addresses or use QR codes to avoid mistakes.
Memos and tags - If required, memos or tags must be included for the transaction to complete successfully.
Failure to follow the above guidance may result in permanent loss of funds.
