Can I verify using my international passport?

To complete a successful verification using an international passport, you’ll need to ensure you have a valid Australian visa. An Australian visa can sometimes be issued electronically when arriving in Australia.

If you’ve got your visa and are still having trouble verifying your international passport, here are some handy tips:

  • If you’re a dual citizen and have both an Australian passport and an international passport, you can only verify your identity using your Australian passport. This is because the visa in your international passport will be invalid.

  • If you’ve been issued a new passport while you’ve been in Australia, you may need to update your visa details with the passport issuing authority.

The name details entered when verifying your account will need to match the issuer’s database records.
