How to Enable External Crypto Sends

This guide will walk you through the process of enabling external crypto sends on your Digital Surge account.

To apply for this feature, you must first have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) set up on your account. If you need guidance on setting up 2FA, refer to our 2FA Setup Guide.

Sending crypto to external wallets carries risks, including permanent loss of funds if the transaction is completed incorrectly.

Please be careful of fraudulent platforms or scams. Here is a list of common scams you may come across.

Steps to Enable External Crypto Sends

Step 1: Navigate to Your Profile

  • From your dashboard, click the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner to open the drop-down menu.

  • Select ‘Profile’ from the menu.

Step 2: Access Security and Limits

  • Scroll down to the ‘Security and Limits’ section.

  • Locate the option for ‘External Crypto Send’ and toggle the switch to begin the setup process

Step 3: Review the Warnings

  • Carefully read the warnings displayed on the next screen regarding the risks associated with sending crypto externally.

  • If you agree to the terms, tick the confirmation box and click ‘Continue’.

Step 4: Prepare Necessary Documents

You’ll need to upload the following documents for your submission:

  1. Photo ID:

    • Accepted forms: Valid driver’s licence or passport (physical copies only).

    • Screenshots or digital IDs will not be accepted.

    • Photo Cards/Proof of Age cards are not accepted.

  2. Selfie Verification:

    • Take a photo of yourself holding a handwritten note that includes:

      • The words "Digital Surge"

      • Today’s date

Tips for the Selfie:

  • Ensure your hand and arm are visible holding the paper.

  • Use a smaller piece of paper or hold the camera further away for better framing.

Step 5: Upload Your Documents

  1. Upload an image of your driver's license or passport in the designated field.

  2. Upload your selfie verification in the corresponding field.

  3. Once both documents are uploaded, click ‘Activate Now’ to submit your application.

What’s Next?

  • Your application will be reviewed within 5 business days.

  • You may be contacted during this process for security purposes.

  • Once approved, you’ll be able to send crypto externally from your Digital Surge account.
