Sending crypto can be overwhelming when you have little or no experience, this guide will show you how you can send crypto from your Digital Surge account to an external wallet.

There are many factors you need to consider when sending crypto to an external wallet. Please ensure that any crypto transaction is completed correctly otherwise, your assets will be permanently lost.

Please be careful of fraudulent platforms or scams. Here is a list of common scams you may come across.

How to send crypto externally

Step 1: From your dashboard, go to your wallet page

Step 2: Hover over the action button and select send on the specific crypto you want to send externally

Note: For demonstrative purposes, we will use XRP

Step 3: A pop-up will appear showing some important information or required information to complete the send.

At the top, it will display which network the transaction will be completed on - please ensure this network matches the receiving wallet address details.

Complete the sections below:
โ€‹

Address Field: Copy and paste the receiving wallet address into that field.

Memo/Tag: You will need to confirm if the receiving address requires a MEMO/ Tag. If it requires it please enter it in. If it is not filled or filled incorrectly, the asset will be lost.

Note - Other exchanges or wallets also call Tag names Memo, digital ID, label, and notes. Leave the field blank if not required.

Amount to Send: You can specify how much you want to send by selecting one of the % buttons, entering the crypto amount or AUD value

After completing the sections above please ensure you check the confirmation box and press the Send button at the bottom.

Step 4: A confirmation screen will appear with the transaction details. Please review this to ensure it is correct then press confirm and send.

Step 5: You will be prompted to enter your two-factor authentication code. This code can be retrieved from your Authenticator app.

Step 6: If this is your first time sending crypto to this wallet address, you will be sent a confirmation email. Open the email and click on the link to confirm the transaction.

And that is all the required steps completed for the transaction.

All crypto sends are automated. Once processed on the network, you will receive a confirmation email with the Transaction ID.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure the receiving wallet is on the same network the transaction is being completed on. For example, MATIC will need to a MATIC wallet on the Polygon network.

  • To prevent mistyping or using incorrect details, copy and paste the information or use the QR codes when entering the wallet address details

  • If a receiving address requires a memo/tag, it must be included in the transaction for the receiving wallet to successfully receive the Crypto.

Failure to complete the transaction correctly will result in your crypto being permanently lost.
