Doing your crypto taxes doesn’t need to be complicated. Koinly automates this process so you don’t need to stress. Koinly is an easy-to-use crypto tax calculator that can help you generate a tax report for you to complete your taxes.
You can easily connect your Digital Surge account to Koinly for coin tracking and tax reporting. The easiest way to connect your account is through the API integration. Alternatively, you can upload your transaction history by downloading your transactions as a CSV file.
How to setup your Digital Surge account with Koinly.io using an API
Step 1: Go to koinly.io and log in or create an account.
Step 2: Connect your Digital Surge account to Koinly by heading to the wallets page, selecting the add wallet/exchange button and searching for "Digital Surge".
Step 3: Automate your portfolio tracking
After you have selected Digital Surge, you will be prompted to import the data from your existing wallet.
Click ‘setup auto-sync’ so that your transaction will be imported to Koinly automatically.
Step 4: You'll now need to create an API key on your Digital Surge account by heading over to the API Key page from your Digital Surge account.
Click the drop-down menu and select API Key.
Click Create a New API Key
You can then create Read/Write and Read Only keys. If you are unsure which type is needed, we recommend creating Read Only keys.
You will then be asked to enter your Two-Factor Authentication Code or SMS code for security.
Your API key will be displayed for you to copy and share with the 3rd party application
Step 5: Copy the API key you created on your Digital Surge account and paste it into the API key field on Koinly and press "Secure Import".
Note: The syncing process can take a few minutes.
And that’s it. Your Digital Surge trading activity will now be automatically synced with your Koinly account.
How to import data with CSV export
You can also import your Digital Surge transactions through a CSV file directly to the Koinly Account.
Step 1: Retrieve your Transaction History as a CSV file by Clicking the drop-down menu and selecting Transaction History.

Select the date period and the CSV file format and then export history.
Note: You can leave the date range empty and it will retrieve all your transactions
Step 2: Return to Koinly and head to the wallets page, then select the add wallet/exchange button and search for "Digital Surge".
Step 3: Switch from 'Setup auto-sync' to 'Import from file'.
Upload the CSV file you have just exported from your Digital Surge account. Select 'Import'.
